Kiteholiday offers one of the best and most beautiful
spots for beginners, advanced kite surfers and pros. The newly built
kite surfing school in Uruaú (Brazil) has classes for all levels. Uruaú is about 100 km
south of
Fortaleza and has miles of
beaches and constant wind every day during the main season from July to December. There are several spots to choose from like a
lagoon, a river, a
lake and of course the sea with a beautiful shore break and a water temperature of 31 degrees.
The school reopened in fall 2003, when constructions at the present location were successfully finished. We teach the whole year through, but consider July until December to be the best months to visit us, as there is a constant wind 24 hours a day ( unfortunately it gets dark ) and beautiful
weather every day. The wind usually blows side shore and a little stronger in the mornings and gets a little less powerful in the afternoon turning to side onshore. The average is 4-5 Bft.
During your course you will stay in the beautifully situated "Villaggio Tudo bom". The caretakers, Kicco an Italian and Geirla his Brasilian wife, are creating a family like atmosphere and will make sure you spend a wonderful time in Uruaú. The bungalows are built on the sanddunes and are overlooking the village, the beach and the little lake. You can always check whether there's already someone kiting out there.
The houses are built in the local style and consist of 4 double bedroom with bathroom and a large kitchen/diningroom that can to be used by all. The kitchen is kept simple and has large fridge, stove and oven (gas). Breakfast is included and is being served in one of the beautiful houses on the terrace. There are three swimmingpools and a large lawn to enjoy and spend time away from the beach. Every house has enough hammocks to relax the Brazilian way.
Kiteholiday LTDA has its main office in Uruaú (Brazil), where the kite surfing school and bungalow park villaggio Tudo Bom are. Administration and organisation of transfers are being handled by our Swiss office in Zürich (Switzerland).
