You can also find a large number of popular kite surfing spots in Brazil near Fortaleza, such as Cumbuco, Paracuru or Prea. The state of Ceara offers you 600 km of white sandy beaches with mostly side-onshore trade winds, with steady sea-breezes in the afternoon.

One of the newest locations for kitesurfing in Brazil is the picturesque village of Uruau, about 60 miles (100 km) from Fortaleza.
