The Central-West is the most important area for agriculture in the country. It's the second largest region of Brazil, but has a low demographic density.

This is where you'll find the Pantanal; the world's largest marshlands area. In the northwestern area there's a small part of the Amazon rainforest. Most of central-western Brazil is overgrown with Cerrado which is the largest savanna in the world. It has two distinct dry and rainy seasons.

The capital of Brazil (Brasília) is located here. Other important cities in the area include: Goiânia, Campo Grande and Cuiabá.
